Holiday Gift Idea: Homemade Sugar Scrub
I’m headed to L.A. next month for the red carpet premiere of Disney’s newest movie, FROZEN (more details here). I can’t wait, and in anticipation of this movie, we are having fun coming up with all kinds of winter inspired creations! I am also constantly looking for fun and affordable holiday gift ideas, and this is a good one!
I love that this is not only a pretty gift to give, but it’s useful as well!
Ingredients:
1 Cup Sugar
½ Cup Coconut Oil or Olive Oil
2-3 Drops Essential Oil of choice
1 tbsp Vitamin E Oil
Blue food coloring (Optional)
Rubbing Alcohol
Directions:
Spray a container of choice with rubbing alcohol and set aside until dry.
If using coconut oil; in a microwave safe bowl, melt coconut oil. Add in, essential oil, vitamin E oil, and sugar, and stir until well combined. Separate mixture into two bowls. Using your blue food coloring, color 1 bowl of scrub blue.
Spoon your scrub into your jar, alternating between the white and the blue.
Store in a covered container at room temperature.
To Use: In the shower, or bath, gently message on areas of dry skin, and rinse clean.
